Gifts that remind us of the importance of Remembrance

Remembrance Sunday is always an important date on any Forces Family calendar and by now most of us are already wearing our poppy’s with pride.

In our view, it is also an ideal time to support other fantastic military charities and to educate the next generation about why this day exists. We like to do this via story telling and purchasing fundraising items from various forces based charities.

Here are some of our favourites for this year.

1. Commemorative 75 year anniversary book of the D-day landings

A great conversation starter for all ages from SSAFA. An exclusive and official D-Day publication marking the 75th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings. Filled with informative stories of great bravery, courage and sacrifice.

2. ‘Coming Home’ Triple votive gift set

A beautiful way to remember those past and present from the Soldiers’ Charity. Inspired by all our brave heroes in the Armed Forces, this Set was created by Haig Housing, and manufactured by leading brand Heyland and Whittle.

3. Friendship band with ‘remember’ in Morse Code

A unique idea – each item carefully spells out the word ‘Remember’ in Morse code, this is a really unique way to help support The royal British Legion and to Remember.
